Make a lane change or face the consequences. The state's left lane law is in full effect.
The State Patrol has begun issuing tickets to stragglers who live on the left lane.
Since the law took effect 3 months ago, about 460 tickets have been issued, which comes to an average of 5 per day.
The law applies only to zones with speed limits of 65 miles an hour or higher.
A CDOT spokesperson says hundreds of signs have been posted since last summer warning drivers to use the left lanes only for passing.
