Former Cadet Admits Murder

A former Air Force Academy cadet serving a life sentence for killing a teen-age girl admits to committing the murder.

David Graham tells Fort Worth television station KTVT that he killed Mansfield High School sophomore Adrienne Jones to prove "ultimate devotion" to his girlfriend.

Graham lured Jones to go for a ride with him one night in 1995. He said his then-fiancé, former Naval Academy midshipman Diane Zamora, told him to kill the 16-year-old to prove his loyalty. Zamora also is serving a life sentence in the slaying.

In a broadcast airing Tuesday night, Graham says he can't explain how he was able to shut down his sense of right and wrong to go through with the killing. Graham wouldn't discuss Zamora's role.
