Board Moves to Replace Hoffman

The University of Colorado Board of Regents is acting quickly to begin the search for a replacement of C-U President Elizabeth Hoffman, who announced her resignation two days ago.

Regents today began seeking nominations for people to serve on a search committee they will appoint during their next regular meeting later this month.

C-U bylaws require presidential search committees to include representatives of students, faculty, staff, alumni and deans from each of the four campuses, as well as one or more regents.

The board of regents also could choose to appoint itself as the search committee.
