Tense moments for employees and customers of U.S. Bank branches in Colorado Springs. This afternoon someone called into the U.S. Bank branch located on North Academy, and said he was going to blow it up. He also said he'd blow up 2-other locations... But didn't say what they were.
Colorado springs police evacuated all 10 branches in the city for a security sweep. No bomb was found.
It's not clear why the unidentified person made the call, but police now believe they were idle threats.
The bank is trying to access call records to see if they can pinpoint who made the call. If caught, the caller would face felony charges of false reporting of explosives.
