Coloradans on Iraq

(Denver-AP) -- A majority of Coloradans still favor overthrowing Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, but the support for military intervention is shrinking.

That's according to a poll by Talmey-Drake Researcy and Strategy. The poll was done for the Rocky Mountain News and KCNC TV.

The survey says 53 percent of those responding favor using the military to remove Hussein. That's down from 64 percent in an August poll.

Those who oppose war grew from 21 percent to 26 percent. The share of people who said they were undecided grew from 15 percent to 21 percent.

The poll is based on 332 random telephone interviews with registered voters and has a sampling error margin of plus or minus 5.4 percentage points.
