The FBI is investigating whether a United Airlines flight that left Denver last night was targeted with a laser beam.
An FBI spokesman says the pilot of Flight 423 reported seeing a green light in the cockpit that he thought might have come from the old Stapleton International Airport in northern Denver.
Federal Aviation Administration policy required the pilot to report the sighting.
The flight landed safely in San Francisco.
Since November, dozens of similar incidents have been reported around the country, with one coming in Summit County in Colorado a week ago. The federal government has warned that terrorists might use lasers to blind pilots, but terrorism hasn't been linked to any of the cases.
