A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect on Tuesday afternoon for most of Southern Colorado. Daytime heating and moisture will combine with a disturbance moving through Colorado to develop numerous thunderstorms. Any one of them will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain. Burn scars and areas that have seen recent heavy rain will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat all day for you.
A tip to deputies at the Pueblo County Jail has uncovered a plan by inmates to bring a gun or drugs into the facility.
Deputies shut down the fourth floor maximum-security wing of the jail.
They discovered the outside of a window had been moved about 4-inches.
Officers think the plan may have been to lower strings or ropes to the ground. Where accomplices would attach contra-band.
Investigators also believe detention officers were going to be attacked after the weapons got in.
