All you ever needed to know, you learned in kindergarten. And some state lawmakers agree.
So much so they're backing legislation that would make it mandatory for all school districts to provide it.
All the state's 178 districts do offer kindergarten but some lawmakers are worried they might drop the classes to cut costs.
The proposal would also consider making every kindergarten class a full-day's class, although some districts can only offer half-day classes.
The measure will get its first hearing in the House Education Committee Tuesday.
