Web surfers can now check traffic on T-REX before they ever get to the highway.
T-REX is the $1.6 billion project to expand Interstates 25 and 225 and add light-rail lines. Technicians introduced a real-time traffic map late last week to the project's Web site at www.trexproject.com.
Map information can be updated every minute. Data are collected from electronic sensors along Interstates 25 and 225.
During Friday's rush hour, the Web site showed that it would take seven minutes at 25 miles per hour to travel 2-point-9 miles on northbound Interstate 25 from Colorado Boulevard to Broadway.
T-REX is scheduled for completion in September 2006.
