Police Name Two More Suspects In Murder Case

Two more suspects have been named in the death of a Colorado Springs man.

Police say they're looking for 24 year old Antonio Jerel Pegues, a black male, 5’7” tall, 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Pegues is charged with Second Degree Murder in this case.

Cops are also searching for a juvenile suspect, 17 year old Robert Chris Pesante. He's a Hispanic male, 5’7” tall, 138 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Pesante is also wanted for Second Degree Murder in this case.

Richard "Scott," Cambell was shot and killed on Bonita Village Rd. a week ago.

Monica Campbell has a new reality. It’s one that doesn't include the man she says was perfect for her.

"It's getting harder every day to know my husband's not going to come back," Monica said.

Police say they continue to search for Donny Lopez, who they named as their prime suspect the night of the murder. He's a Hispanic male 5’6”, 175 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Lopez has multiple tattoos all over his neck and face.

Scott Campbell was shot as he stood only feet from his front door. It was the final strike in a fight he had with Lopez, his one-time and two other guys.

Monica thinks Donny later called Scott’s phone.

"Somebody kept saying ‘I’m sorry Scott,’” she said. “I'm sorry."

Arrest warrant paperwork indicates witnesses told police a different story the night Scott Campbell was shot. All of them told police Pegues who goes by the name "Suicide," and Robert Pesante, Donny’s brother, showed up to fight Campbell.

The reports show one person saw "Suicide" pull the trigger of Donny’s gun. Others say Donny was the gunman.

Monica thinks he can end her nightmare.

"I just want him to come to his senses and turn himself in," she said.

The arrest warrant goes on to show the initial tension between Scott and Donny stemmed from Donny Lopez breaking into Campbell’s home.

Cops tell 11 News the three suspects are considered armed and extremely dangerous. It is not known if they are together. If they are spotted, the public should not attempt to approach them, but should call the police department immediately.
