About 200 University of Colorado faculty members will show their support of a colleague in the pages of a classified ad section.
The faculty has taken out a full page ad in Monday's edition of the Boulder Daily Camera. They're asking the school to drop its inquiry into the writings of embattled professor Ward Churchill.
The ad says the inquiry was only brought on by political pressure.
Governor Bill Owens and several other state lawmakers have called for Churchill's dismissal.
In the meantime, CU Regents are considering offering him an early retirement package.
The professor's attorney says he has not been contacted by the school about a buyout offer but would be willing to listen.
