On Monday at approximately 10:30 a.m., a male walked into the Wells Fargo Bank at 5360 N. Academy Blvd.
The man was wearing a unique multi-colored motorcycle helmet with lightning bolts and stars on it.
The man jumped the counter, brandished a handgun and demanded money. He was given an undisclosed amount of money and then left the bank. No one was injured.
The suspect is described as a white male in his early to mid 20s. He was described as being an average height and witnesses estimated his weight as approximately 160-170 lbs. He was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket and brown boots with laces. The motorcycle helmet was described as a full-face helmet with shield, which had red, white and blue lightening bolts, and white stars. The helmet also had gold stripes on top of a black background.
Anyone having information concerning this robbery is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP. Anyone calling Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous, and information that leads to an arrest in this case may earn a cash reward of up to $1,000.
