Sixty-six Coloradans who've been wronged by lawyers will receive a surprise stocking stuffer: cash

A group called the "Colorado Supreme Court Attorneys Fund for Client Protection" will pay out nearly $71,000 this year.

The recipients are reimbursed for dishonest conduct by licensed attorneys. Those lawyers have been suspended or disbarred.

No tax money is used. It's raised through registration fees.

Almost $500,000 have been paid out since the fund's inception.
