Kicker Jeff Babcock scored a touchdown and Cecil Sapp ran for 132 yards and two scores as 24th-ranked Colorado State ripped Air Force 31-to-12.

Babcock returned a fumbled kickoff 29 yards to give the Rams a 28-to-12 lead. Bryan Blew grabbed the kickoff but fumbled when hit by David Foley. Babcock picked up the ball and became the first Colorado State kicker to score a touchdown in 41 years.

Sapp scored on a pair of two-yard runs as the Rams improved to 8-and-2 overall, 4-and-0 in the Mountain West Conference.

Air Force is 6-and-3 following their third consecutive loss. The Falcons were out-gained 341 yards to 250.
