Health officials say eight stores in Colorado are recalling sold sandwich meat because it may have been contaminated by listeria. The meat includes whole turkey breasts and one-pound packages of sliced turkey breast sold from late May through October 12th at Honeybaked Ham Company stores in Aurora, Boulder, Colorado Springs,Fort Collins, Highlands Ranch, Littleton and Westminster. Health officials say the Ridgway Mountain Market in Ridgway also carried the meat, which was sliced fresh in the store's deli, from May to October 14th. She said the meat should be returned to the store or discarded. No cases of listeria have been reported in Colorado. A strain of the potentially fatal bacteria was found in a drain at the Wampler Foods plant in Franconia, Pennsylvania. The company has recalled 27.4 million pounds of cooked deli products.
