A Lewis-Palmer Middel School teacher who worked as a volleyball and basketball coach has been arrested for allegedly assaulting two female students.

According the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, Gregory Jackson was arrested on suspicion of two counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust.

Authorities say two female students claim Jackson touched them in "an inappropriate sexual manner" in his postion as basketball coach.

Jackson is being held in the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on $25,000 bond.

Sheriff's officials say District 38 has placed Jackson on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
