The major-party candidates for the US Senate in Colorado agree that tax cuts could help the economy recover.
Republican Senator Wayne Allard and Democratic challenger Tom Strickland debated this morning on Denver radio station KOA --A-M.
Allard says across-the-board cuts are necessary while Strickland says the richest Americans benefited disproportionately from Republican-backed cuts instituted last June.
Despite that, Strickland also says he would have voted for the package if he was in the US Senate because it was the only one with bipartisan support.
The two have met in about a dozen debates so far this year. Some of their matchups have included heated exchanges, but the candidates seemed mostly relaxed this morning.
