Spending Outside the Bounds?

A report by the Rocky Mountain News shows the University of Colorado spent half a million dollars at liquor establishments in the past 5 years.

The report also says two-thirds of that money was spent at a store partially owned by the school's former athletic director Dick Tharp.

The state auditor's office says the purchases fall outside accepted practices by public agencies and could lead to a broadening of an audit of the school's spending practices.
