(Denver-AP) -- The latest poll shows support for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Rollie Heath is slipping.
Twenty-one percent of likely voters say they would vote for Heath, down from 28 percent in a similar poll in July.
Meanwhile, Governor Owens' support keeps rising with 64 percent saying they would vote for him, compared with 56 percent in the July poll.
Sixty-four percent of the Ciruli Associates poll respondents either were not familiar with Heath or have no opinion of him, while Owens had a 74 percent approval rating.
The random telephone poll of 500 people has a margin of error of four-point-four percentage points.
It was sponsored by The Denver Post, Denver stations KUSA-TV and KOA AM.
It was conducted between last Wednesday and Saturday.
