Plans for another toll road are picking up speed with state lawmakers
The 210-mile toll road will run from Wellington to Pueblo and will cost $2 billion to build.
Lawmakers are looking for ways to defray costs from taxpayers and say there are plenty of potential investors.
Lawmakers are also trying to change a law from the 1800's which authorizes counties to set their own toll rates.
The toll road would allow drivers to avoid Interstate 25 which would be located 25 miles to the west.
Drivers could also zoom up to 85 miles an hour for a $10 toll.
