(Denver-AP) -- Sunday police arrested a 48-year-old bus driver
who's suspected of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl on the
bus.
Police say the Regional Transportation District driver was being
held in the Denver city jail. His name wasn't released.
The teenager apparently boarded the bus in Littleton Saturday afternoon and the driver told her she was on the wrong bus, but he'd take her to the right location. No one else was on the bus.
Police say the teenager told a passer-by she was assaulted, and the passer-by reported the incident to police.
Police stopped the driver last night to question him, but he was released. He worked for Laidlaw Transit Incorporated, which subcontracts drivers for RTD.
