Reverend Keenan Roberts was youth pastor at Abundant Life Christian Center in Arvada and has run the Halloween morality play since 1995. But this year's he's spending his time launching Destiny Church of the Assemblies of God in Broomfield.

He says the play will return -- when he finds a location to stage it.

The 37-year-old pastor earned headlines over the years for producing the teen-centered vignettes on the consequences of sin.

In seven years, more than 45,00 Coloradans paid five to $7 each to watch scenes in which teens fell into hell by choosing abortion, drugs or suicide or by engaging in homosexual activity.

The presentations drew protests from the Colorado AIDS Project and the Council of Churches.

Roberts says the script now is used in presentations in more than 500 churches in 14 countries.
