Jennifer McCarthy has trained the worst of the worst for 12 years. So I offered her the ultimate challenge. A mean 3-year-old Chihuahua named Domino.

Domino is an over protective dog that will tear your ankles to shreds if he doesn't know you. He barks at everything, scratches when he wants something. But you can't blame him. You have to blame me, his owner.

Jennifer told me how over the years i've babied him. He slept with me, ate whenever he wanted, sat in my lap, got carried around, everything that I'm not supposed to do.

Jennifer told me how I, unknowingly, had given Domino all of the power. He was acting as the alpha dog in this relationship. Which meant he felt it was his place to protect me, to the dismay of ankles everywhere.

I needed to make some huge changes. He can't sleep with me anymore. He will get one hour of excercise daily. He can only eat once a day, no treats, no people food and no toys. At least till he gets better.

So far, so good. We'll see if the beast has been tamed!
