11 News obtained the 911 call when Jetway Liquor Store was robbed last Tuesday. Gibron Gayton walked into the store on Jetwing and Fountain and pointed a gun at the owner, Chuck Kellogg, demanding cash.

911 Operator: "Colorado Springs 911. What is the exact location of your emergency?"
Caller: "This is Jetway Liquor."
Operator: "Okay."
Caller: "I just shot a guy trying to hold me up."
Operator: "Your last name?"
Caller: "Don't move," the caller shouted to the suspect inside the store.
Operator: "Sir, what's your last name?"
Caller: "Kellogg, Chuck. He's laying on the floor, moaning and he’s still alive. Just relax, we got an ambulance coming for ya."

That was the call that 74-year-old Chuck Kellogg made to 911as robbery suspect Gibron Gayton was lying on the floor of Kellogg's liquor store, right after he shot him in the chest.

Operator: "Is he conscious?"
Caller: "No."
Operator: "Is he breathing?"
Caller: "Yes. Just be still, breathe slowly. Help is on the way."

30 minutes later, the suspect died. Springs Police said Gibron Gayton has been linked to at least a handful of other robberies.

Monday, the district attorney’s office announced that Kellogg will not face any charges since he acted in self-defense.

This is the second time the liquor store had been hit. The last time was back in January. Kellogg shot at those suspects, but they got away. He told 11 News back then that if he was robbed again, he wouldn't miss a second time.

Robberies have been a problem in the Springs, especially in November when there were twice as many as usual. The same evening of the armed robbery at the liquor store, two other robberies had already happened earlier that day.
