Colorado Springs police were called out to the 1900 block of Mesa Road around 5:30 p.m. Saturday evening for an auto-ped accident.

Authorities say, 39 year old Leslie Miller, was in the roadway when she was struck by a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driven by Michael Muth age 57.

Ms. Miller died at the scene.

Mr. Muth was transported to Memorial hospital for evaluation.

Both the pedestrian and driver are from Colorado Springs.

Police say, Ms. Miller had apparently been in a verbal argument with her boyfriend at a nearby address when she decided to go for a walk.

The driver of the truck continued to drive another 200 feet north on Mesa before stopping and returning to the victim when he notified police of the accident.

Alcohol is suspected.

Charges are pending.
