Three homemade bombs went off in a Springs neighborhood Friday night.
The bombs, all homemade “pop bottle” bombs , which are plastic bottles built to explode when enough pressure builds up from the substance inside, were placed on the 3900 block of Lindin Place by unknown suspects Friday. Five total were placed around the street and in yards—one of the three that exploded went off in a yard, but no injuries or property damage were reported.
The bombs exploded around 10:30 p.m. The CSPD Bomb Unit was called to the scene, as did a Springs Fire Hazmat Unit due to the unknown chemical residue leftover after the bombs went off. The two bombs not to detonate were found and removed from the scene.
Police say that there is no suspect information at this time.
