A University of Colorado sorority has been put on probation after pledges were given alcohol during a sleepover.
The Delta Delta Delta chapter is on probation until May and several members have been kicked out. Chapter officials say the pledges were pressured to drink during a Halloween retreat.
Just last week, school officials unveiled stricter guidelines for sororities and fraternities who want to remain affiliated with the school. Freshmen will be required to wait until the spring before joining a fraternity or sorority, and a staff adviser will live in all Boulder Greek houses.
The move follows the deaths of several college students from alcohol around Colorado this fall, includine one at CU.
