Resort officials at Copper Mountain are so confident in Mother Nature and their snowmaking systems that they're guaranteeing season pass holders good snow -- or a refund. The resort touts in promotional literature -- quote -- ``We guarantee you'll be happy with the conditions as of December 13th, or we'll give you your money back.''
The no-questions-asked guarantee applies to the 239 dollar season pass available through October 20th. The guarantee on a full-season pass is apparently unprecedented. Other resorts have dabbled in refunds for day passes depending on conditions. The resort became the first in the nation to begin making snow September 25th. Last year, Copper shocked the industry with the season's earliest opening date courtesy of its 2-year-old, state-of-the-art snowmaking system. The resort is scheduled to open to the public November 2nd.
