Four snowmobilers were found safe and unharmed Sunday morning after they spent the night in the cold near Rabbit Ears Pass in northern Colorado.

Gary Bliss and Bill Organ of Denver and Jesse Goble of Castle Rock and Gene Osborn of Parker were found by Routt County Search and Rescue at about 9:30 a.m.

Two of the snowmobilers lost their way Saturday after one them got stuck. When darkness fell they started a campfire by soaking a stick in one of the fuel tanks and then lighting it with a spark from the ignition system.

The other two were on a ridge above them offering to help. They dug a snow cave and spent the night there.

Search and Rescue spokesman Darrel Livingston says about 30 members of the rescue team searched on snowmobiles, skis and snowshoes.
