More Snow!

Snow keeps falling in western Colorado, and more is on the way.

The National Weather Service says the new snow could reach five feet in parts of the San Juan Mountains before the storm lets up this week.

The western Colorado mountains are under a winter storm warning until 6 p.m. Monday. Steamboat Springs and the Vail area are under snow advisories.

The avalanche danger statewide is listed as "considerable."

The Weather Service reports wind gusts of up to 80 miles per hour. Highways over three mountain passes are closed.

Skiers are happy though. Silverton Mountain ski area has received two feet of new snow in the last day, Crested Butte-17 inches, Durango-11 and Aspen Highlands-10.
