Safety Concerns

The recent skiing death of a teenager last week is shedding light on ski resorts' safety practices.

State law says skiers and snowboarders ride at their own risk and shields resorts from liability of more than $250 thousand.

But the recent accident has some resorts re-evaluating their snowmobile policies and other forms of potential negligence.

Thirteen year-old Ashley Stamp was killed on Sunday when she collided with a snowmobile while warming-up for a slalom race.

The family hasn't said if they'll sue the resort.
