Help Wanted: State Fair Manager

By  |

The general manager of the Colorado State Fair plans to step down in January.

Ed Kruse has been with the fair for seven years -- two years longer than planned -- and is leaving because he thinks fairs should rotate their top bosses to stay fresh.

The former Greeley rancher and former executive of the National Western Stock Show says he has no immediate plans.

During his tenure, he guided the fair through challenges in attendance, funding and politics, all while working to strengthen the fair's traditional ties to agriculture.
