An adult and eleven minors may be charged in last week's alcohol poisoning death of a high school senior in Florence.
Nick Trout died after going to at least two parties last weekend. Authorities say a 30-year-old man provided alcohol at one of the parties.
Florence police have sent the case to the district attorney -- who will consider whether to file charges.
At least three Colorado college students have died of alcohol poisoning this semester.
Trout's mother says the 18-year-old went to the naval recruiter in Canon City the day he died. He wanted to be a biochemical engineer in the Navy.
His funeral is Saturday in Florence.
