Airport Threat

Updated: Sat 8:56 PM, Sep 21, 2002

(Colorado Springs-AP) -- A man arrested after he allegedly threatened to blow up Colorado Springs airport told a judge that he is insane.

Police arrested 55-year-old John Ondracek on suspicion of false reporting of explosives, endangering public transportation and menacing. A cab driver turned on the microphone of his two-way radio when Ondracek began making threats Thursday night. A dispatcher heard the threats and called police.

Ondracek was in court Friday for an advisement hearing -- where he muttered about explosives, ``the big house,'' and Lucifer.

At one point, the judge told him to be quiet and listen as he advised him of his rights and the charges.

Judge Dan Wilson set bond at 200-thousand dollars.
