Congressional Race

Republican Greg Walcher is seeing a surge in financial support in his race against Democrat John Salazar for Colorado's open congressional seat.

Federal campaign finance figures show that the National Republican Congressional Committee has outspent its Democratic counterpart roughly 3-to-1 in the race to replace retiring Congressman Scott McInnis.

Salazar, meanwhile, has benefited from hundreds of thousands of dollars of independent expenditures by the League of Conservation
Voters.

The Center for Responsive Politics says business interests are Walcher's biggest supporters and labor groups are the most prominent for Salazar.
