Lowney says the response is almost certainly caused by the publicity surrounding the kidney transplant conducted Wednesday, the first surgery set up through the commercial Web site.
He was in Denver Thursday visiting with the recipient, Bob Hickey
of Edwards, and the organ donor, Rob Smitty of Chattanooga Tennessee at Presbyterian Saint Luke's Medical Center.
