Heavy machinery is digging at the site of a fatal jet crash involving NBC Sports chairman Dick Ebersol.

A backhoe began working Monday at the accident site in Montrose.

Two crewmen died in the crash Sunday, and Ebersol's 14-year-old son Teddy is presumed dead.

Ebersol and his 21-year-old son, Charlie, survived. Six people total were on board.

The Montrose County coroner's office says 50-year-old Luis Alberto Polanco Espaillat of Dominican Republic and 36-year-old Warren T. Richardson of Coral Gables Florida died.

Deputy Coroner Matt Eilts says a co-pilot is in critical condition.

It was snowing during takeoff, but there is no word on what caused the crash.

It is also unclear whether the plane had been deiced.
