A rock slide has closed a 24-mile stretch of Interstate 70 between Glenwood Springs and Gypsum.
Crews are hoping to open one lane in each direction later this night -- but it could be several days before all the lanes are clear.
No one was injured in the rock slide. The State Patrol is reporting damage to the road, a bridge and guardrails -- but it appears there's no structural damage.
Crews say some boulders are the size of cars.
Recommended detours will add roughly 200 miles to trips.
