They terrorized a city for 21 days. It may be hard to believe, but today is the ten year anniversary of the Washington D.C. sniper shootings.
Many of us may remember Lee Boyd Malvo, the 17 year old who helped John Allen Muhammad shoot 13 people, killing ten of them.
Malvo said in an interview that he laughed when police arrested him, but now he feels differently.
Malvo said, “I was a monster… I mean if you look up the definition… that’s what a monster is. I was a ghoul. I was a thief. I stole people’s lives.”
Malvo is currently serving a life sentence in a Virginia prison. Juror’s didn’t give him the death penalty because they said they thought he was being controlled my Muhammad.
Muhammad was executed in 2009.
