A sudden nationwide shortage of flu vaccine means doctors are calling patients to tell them not to get the shot.
Those at highest risk will only be able to get a flu shot this year. That includes the elderly and kids under 23-months.
Before the recall of half of the nation's vaccine supply, plenty of flu shot clinics were scheduled. Now, doctors must call most of the families and tell them their appointment has been cancelled.
Some doctors worry they may not have enough vaccine for all of their high risk patients.
