Gay marriage is still a hot-button issue for the state's 35 thousand Episcopalians.
The Episcopal Church of Colorado narrowly avoided a battle on a resolution involving gay marriage.
The resolution would have restated the church's long-held position of marriage being only between a man and a woman.
At the church's 117th convention, delegates voted 262 to 231 to put the resolution on hold. The vote on the resolution has been postponed indefinitely.
