Two Christian missionaries say they're eager to return to Africa -- when it's safe.

Bill and Nancy McComb and their four sons were among the one hundred or so children and staff evacuated last Thursday from the International Christian Academy in Bouake, Ivory Coast. The school became caught in the crossfire of Ivory Coast loyalists and rebels after a failed coup attempt Sept. 19.

In the days after the attempt, the fighting marched closer and closer to the school's perimeter.

Littleton-based CB-International operates the academy. The McCombs serve as dorm parents at the boarding school for children of missionaries working throughout Africa.

The McCombs arrived in Bouake in July to begin a four-year mission.
