Boulder Police say a University of Colorado freshman, found dead in a fraternity house last week, was involved in a pledge ritual.
Police say members of the Chi Psi fraternity took 18 year old Gordon Bailey Junior and 27 other pledges to the mountains and gave them whisky and wine. The drinking then apparently continued once the group returned to the fraternity house.
Bailey was found dead inside the house Friday morning.
Police say it appears that Bailey was drinking voluntarily and conclude there is no foul play involved in his death. But, even so, at least a dozen members of the fraternity have hired attorneys and many are refusing to cooperate with investigators.
Autopsy and toxicology results are not yet available.
