Last month in a Call for Action investigation we told you about a Colorado Springs dog training facility. KKTV's Betty Sexton has been following up on Rocky Mountain Dog Trainers and learned the Colorado Department of Agriculture is investigating and may force the center to close.

She was told Rocky Mountain's owner, Scott Martin has a business license, but failed to get an agriculture license... which is required for those who board and care for animals in Colorado. The state says the pre-applicaton process requires facilities to be inspected four times before a license is issued. We were told Rocky Mountain failed three of its four inspections for a variety of problems like not have an isolation room for a sick dog, not having any dog runs, as well as a lack of record keeping.

Because of the failed inspections, the state agriculture commissioner could deny Martin's application. If that happens, he would be forced to shut down.

We stopped by Rocky Mountain a few times since our investigation and found the doors locked and no visible business. You may recall from last month's investigation, Betty was told she was not welcome and Scott refused to answer her questions. The Klug family of Colorado Springs asked for Call for Action's help after the center lost one of its dogs and refused to give the family a refund. The Klugs later found their dog, but Martin says the situation was blown out of proportion and claims the contract doesn't allow for any refunds.
