UPDATE: Highway 24 Reopened at Garrett Road after Accident
A motorcycle accident that closed down Highway 24 near Garrett & Falcon Roads in Peyton, east of Colorado Springs on Tuesday evening has now been cleared. The highway has been reopened.

A motorcycle accident that closed down Highway 24 near Garrett & Falcon Roads in Peyton, east of Colorado Springs on Tuesday evening has now been cleared. The highway has been reopened.

Authorities say the motorcycle went off the road into a ditch, and that the driver was airlifted to a local hospital. No word on the extent of injuries, but officials on scene said it did not appear that the man had life-threatening injuries. Traffic was blocked for about an hour.

The driver's name has not been released yet.

Hi. I don't want this posted, but I wanted to let you know that where it says "traffic was blocked" there is an "e" on the end of traffic (traffice). I just don't want the rude people who come on here to write an entire paragraph criticizing the article because of one small typo. Just wanted to let ya'll know.
