Colorado Economy

Economists say Colorado's sluggish economy should post new jobs through the rest of this year and into 2005.

Tucker Hart Adams is the regional economist for U-S Bank.

She says she's predicting 55-thousand new jobs next year, and a drop in the unemployment rate to four-point-seven percent.

Colorado has had trouble replacing technology jobs created in the late 1990s boom.

New positions have instead come in construction, retail and
business services.
