Trinity Romero has been arrested. He's the suspect in the August 15th stabbing death of Kyle Phillips in Trinidad. Phillips was 24.

Romero had been wanted on a charge of second-degree murder.

Saturday afternoon police went to a house in the 700 block of East Main in Trinidad asked if Romero was there. When they said he was, police moved them to safety and went inside.

They found Romero hiding in a bedroom, and he was arrested without incident and taken to the Las Animas County Detention Center.

Phillips was stabbed outside a bar in Trinidad. Witnesses told police Romero had been harassing Phillips, and Phillips went outside to get away from him.

im a romero from trinidad yes my uncle was captured now that the autopsy report came out that he died from a heart attack that was caused by the insulin i bet people realy start hating on my family i dont care i love my uncle he might have stabed kyle but he did not kill him technicaly the emts killed him. my uncle does need to pay for stabing kyle but he is innocent of murder so get ur stories straight my prayes and sympathy go out to the phillips family. but my uncle wanted to wait for the report he wasnt being a LOW LIFE COWARD he just wasnt going down for something he didnt do. and it was not a racist thing or a gang thing it was just dumb period. its time for people to start getting their facts straight and stop bugging my family over this horrible incident
