Colorado Springs police have captured Stephen Archuleta. Archuleta, 41, is accused of severely beating a man. The attack led to a warrant for his arrest on attempted murder charges.

He was found Saturday morning at the Rainbow Motel on West Colorado Avenue. He surrendered to police and was not armed.

Colorado Springs Police say the search for Archuleta stemmed from an argument over domestic violence that led to an attack that put a man in the hospital.

Archuleta is accused of beating a 31-year old man in the head with a blunt object several times.

Officers say the victim contacted Archuleta at a house in southwest Colorado Springs, about alleged domestic violence against the victim's sister. He reportedly told Archuleta that if he did not stop, he would involve police. Police say when he turned to leave, Archuleta hit hm in the head and he lost consciousness. He says that when he came to, he was bleeding profusely and was able to get to a friend's house and then the hospital.

Officer made contact with the victim at the hospital just before midnight Thursday night. The victim has serious injuries including facial fractures and a closed head injury.

I have read the comments and i dont know any of the people who posted them. I was married to Stephen for 16 years and I just want to let some facts be known. He WAS a very good person until about 7yrs ago. He like many people took the wrong path and started using meth. Before the meth he was a good husband and father to our 3 kids. When we got divorced he seemed he could never get his life stright. And yes the other guy was a meth head too. I dont know where the issue of child support came up but i can tell u our kids are 15, 16, 17 and he gives them everything he has and if he doesnt have it he'll get it for them. We love him and always will. I just hope he finds his way and staightens up.The other dude who got beat up was not hit from behind. He came into the garage swingind at Steve and got knocked out. This is proven because there were witnesses. Steve ran because he was high and on parole. If he would of stayed it would of just been self defense. I
