Colorado Springs police say they're looking for an armed suspect who walked into a grocery store in broad daylight and held an employee at knife-point in a robbery.

Police say they were called to the Safeway Store at 2210 N. Wahsatch Avenue around 9 a.m. Wednesday. The call was first reported as a personal robbery, but the investigation revealed that the suspect presented a knife to a store employee and demanded money.

The suspect was described as white male in his fifties with salt and pepper hair, 5'8", a thin build, wearing blue jeans, a red button shirt and a white baseball cap.

The area was contained, but the suspect was not found.

Don't worry Billie - it didn't hit me on my way out this morning. I think it's people like you who need STOP taking the pill. It's sad when a person, who was contributing to city taxes on all levels (biz owner, high tax sector for job, home and car ownership, purchasing and doing fundraising), voices their disdain passionately-so much that it chased them out of the state-and you say "take a pill". People like you and the forced complacency of people who are sick of money mismanagement are exactly the reason the city is in the position it is in. Without people speaking the truth and telling it just like it is, go ahead and feel free to stay happy while you lose thousands more than your counterparts in other areas of the country and even the state, so the city can waste more of your money, take major benefits and give the taxpayers absolutely nothing. Then again, this comes from someone who took a single person's comments and made it reflect on and speak for all of us.

You're absolutely right "Purple Rain" & "real-life observation" Not one racial comment. We have a bunch of messed up individuals in our midst, no wonder this city is going down the drain. Mary, you need to take a pill and go lay down for a while. Oh, and if you're that miserable here COS, don't let the door hit ya in the booty on your way out of town. And "RandomJuan" You just proved everyone's point about racism - it's OK for whites to rob folks because it's for food and what not (so you say) but the Blacks and Mexicans (language you all use on here) are robbing for drugs and such. You just took us all 10 steps backwards, nice move moron! You need to take a long hard think about what you just said....what an idiot!!
