The El Paso County Coroner's Office has released toxicology test results from the death of 37-year-old Steve Gallegos, who was found in Monument Creek along Santa Fe Trail at the end of August.

A woman on a morning walk discovered Gallegos' body August 31. Initially, an autopsy was completed, but showed no definitive cause of death. No foul play was ever suspected.

Now, with the final test results in, Dr. Robert Bux, El Paso County Coroner, confirms in his report: "It is my opinion that Steven Gallegos...died as a result of methamphetamine intoxication. I cannot rule out that drowning possibly contributed to his death."

The death has been ruled accidental.

You idiots who think you're superior in pointing out spelling and grammar mistakes...who gives a rat's behind! Sympathies to this poor man's family. Meth does kill! It eats away the body muscle including the heart. It turns a person into a paranoid basket case. It raises the crime rate dramatically when the user needs to steal to support the habit and they will steal from their own mother to do that. Wake up people a man's life is over, a woman is traumatized for life and you want to point out spelling errors? Get a life!
